Sumptuous, luscious fruit is the name of the day at Beanies this weekend - particularly soft fruits from France and Spain.  It certainly feels as if the summer has arrived.

The veg is also at its seasonal best now with fine Globe Artichokes Impressive Globe Artichokes id=

It's good to see the prices of new potatoes coming down to a more reasonable level, too, with Jerseys at £1.50 per kilo and Bostons down to £1.30.

Our Oakleaf delivery also gives us the opportunity to buy more interesting tomatoes - check out these vintage varieties.  Their softer skins give them a relatively short shelf life and so are less popular with commercial growers - but the flavours can be fantastic.Rare tomato varieties id=
