Sumptuous, luscious fruit is the name of the day at Beanies this weekend - particularly soft fruits from France and Spain. It certainly feels as if the summer has arrived.
It's good to see the prices of new potatoes coming down to a more reasonable level, too, with Jerseys at £1.50 per kilo and Bostons down to £1.30.
Our Oakleaf delivery also gives us the opportunity to buy more interesting tomatoes - check out these vintage varieties. Their softer skins give them a relatively short shelf life and so are less popular with commercial growers - but the flavours can be fantastic.blog comments powered by Disqus
