Cat Lane Bakery

As you may have heard by now that Cat Lane Bakery, which we established in 2009 and which became an independent business in April 2014 is finally turning its ovens off at the end of this month. We are very grateful to Ben who has worked mightily hard to keep the enterprise going over the past twelve months and we wish him all the best for the future. It is possible that the Cat Lane brand will live on in the not too distant future - we'll be watching with interest - he has certainly developed a unique product. In the meantime we will be taking bread from Gerry's Bakery in Walkley. I'll be posting about Gerry's bread separately very soon. If you are a delivery customer who takes bread as a side order we would like to hear from you. Would you like us to substitute something from Gerry's range? Get in touch or speak to your driver.

Keira's finished piece! id=Shopfront

On Tuesday with luck we will be having the shop front replaced after all these months!  The contractors are confident that the process will be a smooth one and I'm sure they are right!  But please be prepared for a little disruption in the shop in the early part of the week.  We are hoping to be still fully operational but there is a chance that this may not be possible.  Apologies in advance for any inconvenience.
Thanks very much to Keira James who has now finished the magnificent painting on the boarding.  We are hoping that it will be removed in coherent pieces and that we can find a home for it somewhere... any suggestions?

This weekend is of course Tramlines festival and many people are expected to pass up or down Crookes Valley Road on their way to the main stage events on the Ponderosa.  If you are coming across do pop in and buy a tasty snack or a cool drink or a pot of cherries to munch while you're listening to the music!
